How did you celebrate the anniversary of the founding of our country?

We met our church family at the park for a breakfast of donuts, breakfast casseroles, orange juice and lots of hot summer sunshine.

When you're this little, you can sleep where ever you want and look pretty darn cute doing it! Chloe slept through the entire park experience.

There's nothing like the warm hazy days of summer. When we were done with the heat and had maxed out on sugary baked goods, we escaped to our air conditioned home so we could stretch out a bit. Here's Chloe's attempt at a smile- she's been working hard at it!

And here's another one!

These are the very first pictures of the pair together. Peyton has been pretty uninterested in the newest member of the family but we were able to sneak in a mini photo shoot before he wanted to run off and play again {as long as we kept up the funny faces and sound effects, he stayed put!}.

It's just hilarious hanging out with your little sis'...didn't you know that?!

Besides celebrating the Fourth, we've also been familiarizing this little guy with the water. This nifty pool was at Peyton's friend Shelby's house for her birthday. Peyton adores the water- but he doesn't quite have the hang of closing your mouth while swimming in the pool so he ends up drinking the pool water!

We also got him his own little pool for the back yard, but nothing as cool as this! We let him run around in the buff like Jeni and I used to let both Peyton and Calyn do the summer we were up in Leesville escaping another hurricane.

Peyton wants to know what you're waiting for- the water is perfect!

Of course, all of that fun and sun leads to another favorite summer activity; napping. For the kids at least... not the adults! :-)
How is your summer so far?

I know I say this all the time, but Chloe is so adorable!!! Love the patriotic dress! Peyton is pretty darn cute too:)
Remember to watch out for that squatting during naked swim time. Remember Calyn's little "treat" she left on Paula's sidewalk?
Calyn is fearless with water. She'll run and jump into big swimming pools without a second thought. We had to buy her a lifejacket because I was afraid she'd drown when we blinked. Yesterday we had a BBQ at the Steiner's pool and she jumped off the freakin' diving board! She'll also sit on the edge of the pool and dive HEAD FIRST into the water completely submerging herself. It's unbelievable. I need to enroll her in swim lessons...
Looks like y'all had a fun 4th. Peyton and Chloe are super cute in their patriotic outfits.
My babies have been living in their wading pool. It has been so hot.
I had not checked blogs in a while & did not know you had your baby! She is so darn cute! Congrats!
You have a beautiful family! Thanks so much for putting our button on your blog!
LOVE the dress! Chloe and Peyton are so cut together!!
Yeah, that was supposed to say cute...
What cute babies you've got! I could eat them up! I can't wait to see both Peyton and Chloe! Save up those baby kisses for Mimzy!!!
XXOOXXX
Chloe's outfit is fabulous! And Peyton is growing up so much.
Brennan, BTW, didn't care about Jack that much but Jack and Bren are both obsessed with Ethan. Odd how it's different this time.
Chloe looks older than a month old! Her face isn't all squished like most new borns. I feel like I should tell you that that's a compliment, since i'm not sure it came out right.
Sadie was all about Jack and that wasn't necessarily a good thing. She was all about how he was ruining her life. She couldn't ignore the fact that he was here and in the way and she wanted him gone. That was a scary time! She was constantly hitting him or pushing him or bursting out in tears.
chloe should get mail no later than tomorrow!
lots of love!
Chloe is so cute in her little dress.
I know how the sibling photo shoots go. You want good pictures of them but those little toddlers just won't sit still!
Glad to see your back in the blogging loop again! Yay! It seems like Chole has changed a lot since I just saw her. What a little doll. LOVE the dress!
