Thank goodness for a clean house!
Had they stopped by the day before, there might have been dishes in the sink, toys strewn over the house and shoes cluttering the nooks and and corners of every room. I'm sure they wouldn't have minded but it's something I live in constant fear of; to be considered a slob!
Troy put his cell phone on mute and asked if it was okay for them to stop by. I did a quick scan of the kitchen and all of the common areas and mentally called it good.
At 8:00 p.m., way after my little birds had retired to bed and the house was quiet, the Roberts were at our front door with their two lovely girls in tow. I was excited that I was able to meet their new baby girl Maddy and that I got a chance to snuggle her marshmallow body for a bit.
Maddy is a sweet little cherub with big cheeks and healthy rolls. Considering the time they've had in the last month with this little one, I was glad that she was doing well and seems to be on the mend.
It was nice to catch up and see some familiar faces from our old home. One of these days we'll need to go on a road trip and head back home so we can visit everyone for longer.
Who wants to be first on our list? :-)

Oh Lexi- Thanks for letting us stop by! Your house was emmaculate (as always!). In fact- I went home wondering, how do people have kids, busy lives, and a perfect home... it still boggles me. Im sad that we missed seeing your little ones! Hey- when you come down for Mardi Gras (HINT HINT...WINK WINK) our kiddos can play!!!! Good seeing you guys!!!! Wished you lived closer!!!
I'm sure a mess to you would be a perfectly clean home for me! We'd love to see you when you visit, but I'd need a little more notice than you had;)
I love your hair!! It is so cute. How are you guys doing?
