"You don't need a winter coat."

My friend Isela told me this in September after I told her I still hadn't bought myself a winter coat. "I grew up here and it never gets cold here. I actually just gave my winter coat to my sister since I wouldn't need it."

Well, apparently I am a wuss, because I think it gets cold. It was cold the first winter we were here in Texas and it's been blustery and snowing the second winter we've been here too.

In fact, this February we got the most snow Dallas has (apparently) ever had in history.

Guess that means I'd better get myself a winter coat.

Before NEXT winter.

Anyone know where I can find a cute button-down pea coat? :-)

Notice that the boys have winter coats? Must be nice. :-)
Bulls-eye!
Look out!

I actually got my pea coat from a navy outlet store online - trying googling something like that and then you get an official navy pea coat - great to keep you warm!

Can you believe this weather? And more snow tomorrow?! Although, I will take this freakishly cold winter over the NOLA humidity in the summer. I just can't deal with the humidity. Heat? Fine. Humidity? No thank you!

Love all the pics!

I vowed never to live anywhere where it snows. I guess I need to move somewhere on the equator? Try the Gap. I got one this time of year for $8 a few years ago. Their main style this year is puffy vests though, so I don't know what you'll find.

The Philly area got the most snow in it's history too. Not fun! And growing up in LA I hate snow. Got my red pea coat from Banana day after Christmas half off the sales price. Love it! Although I still don't go outside unless I have to.
