It didn't take us long to get the truck unloaded on the other end. We had 11 men show up and help and they emptied the truck in under an hour! Since we're moving again in 5 months or so {once our house is completed} a lot of the things we won't be needing stayed in boxes. That helped me immensly and it wasn't long before we were all set up with our little home again.
Are you ready for the grand tour? Not pictured here is our new doormat. It needs a little help getting worn in, so if you're ever in town look us up! We'd love to see you!
Here is our very cozy living room. As you can see, it shares the same room with our dining room table so our quarters are a wee bit tight- but it works!

Here's another look from a different angle.
It was so snug in our living room that our armchair got banished to the stairwell landing and the ottoman had to be hidden away in the outdoor storage closet! Peyton's just glad that it's the armchair and not him that's sitting in a corner!
What'cha makin' me for dinner? Don't stress- if you come and visit me, I'll cook YOU dinner! This kitchen gives us more storage space for our pots and and pans and appliances but less counter space to cook up our concoctions. That hasn't stopped us though! We love to cook.
Our bedroom has more room to move around in than our old bedroom did. Before, we couldn't even get both end tables into the room. Now they fit nicely.
Here's our Grand Central Station where all of the blog magic happens. Plus it's located conveniently beside my dresser so when I freeze {which I've been doing the last few days!} I can whip out a sweatshirt in no time at all. You're impressed, aren't you? I thought you would be ;-)
Peyton also loves his room too. We especially love it since we don't share a wall with him anymore. He hasn't seemed to notice the difference and it gives us a little more time in the morning to ourselves since we don't hear him talking to himself at six in the morning. Bonus!
Of course, we can't let Peyton forget about one of his best buddies ever from New Orleans. Calyn and Peyton had a lot of fun growing up together since they were only 6 weeks apart in age. They've known each other since Calyn was only a few weeks old. We will sure miss her but even more so her parents. We've known Aaron and Jeni for YEARS- I've known them for about 6 and Troy about 8. We've got incentives for them to come and visit us though {Can you say Ikea and Pro Soccer?!}. Do you see Peyton being a spaz in the mirror? What a turkey!

I think one of the nicest features about this place is that there is a little playset literally steps away from our front door. You can see it from the balcony! Peyton's only been out twice though because it has been so frigid outside lately. Yesterday it rained and then the rain froze. All of the trees were covered in little icicles!

Are you exhausted yet? I know Peyton is! We'll update you again soon.

I didn't even hang out with you in LA but I am so sad you moved. Then again, I am glad, too, b/c I can't wait for you to be in your great new house.
Have fun getting to know your new town and meeting new people.
BTW, your activities calendar makes me tired...you sure jumped right in (the good thing to do!)
I'm glad to see that you are settled in (for at least a few months anyway). Keep us posted! Jessie wasn't kidding, you have a busy schedule already. Peyton looks so tall! He's such a cutie.
Your apartment is so cute. I love it! When we got home the other night I was telling Jeremy how I need your sense of style!
(Didn't you love how the water froze on the trees yesterday? I meant to go out and take a picture, but I got sidetracked.)
Cute new blog, cute new apartment! Scott and I were talking last night about how weird it is that you guys don't live down the street from us anymore. It is even more funny that ya'll ate dinner at his parents house. How fun! Wish we could be up there with all the fun things that ya'll are doing.
Seriously. Are you trying to make me cry? The "baby friends" picture did me in. We miss you guys too:) But, I just remembered we will be in Dallas in APRIL! We have a conference there we'll be attending! I'll have my people call your people!
I know, the 'best baby friends' picture gets me too- they were so little! I can't wait to see you guys in April!
I love your new place. Can't wait to see your house. How fun! I love Dallas. And I must say I'm jealous you have an IKEA and WE don't :(
Wow, you have been one busy lady! Your new place looks great and its so put together! We have been here for 4 months and I know our place isnt as put together as yours! Its really looks great!
Thanks for the tour. It's always fun to see someone's new home whether in person or pictures. You did a great job arranging in your new space. I wish that we had a play set nearby. That stinks that it has been so cold that you or i guess i should say Peyton hasn't been able to get much use out of it.
P.S. I really like the Henry Van Dyke quote.
