Still Waiting...

I am still here.

And baby free!

I'm not sure if that's a good thing (because I can still attempt to sleep right now on my own time) or if that's a bad thing because I'm just so tired and worn out from carrying Chloe around.

One thing is for sure though: if she's not here by Wednesday of this next week, the doctors will begin talking to me about inducing- which scares me to no end. I've heard so many horror stories of women getting Pitocin to start labor but when things start progressing too quickly and painfully, they administer an Epidural which usually slows things down and can also lead to a higher chance of needing a Cesarean Section. Yikes!

So if there's no baby keeping me away, why the quiet blog?

Well, after my last post, our computer decided to finally give up the ghost and die. I had no computer access from that time until last night! Troy had a surprise up his sleeve for me though.

If you recall, we didn't celebrate Christmas because we were in transition moving here to Texas from Louisiana. We did somehow manage to do something for Valentine's Day but then Mother's Day went by the way side because we were moving once again and we were saving our pennies for our closing costs. When the computer crashed and died, Troy secretly ordered me a laptop as a belated Christmas/Mother's Day gift. What a sweet husband!

I am still trying to figure my way around this new keyboard but I am excited to be connected again and to be able to hear music and watch videos once more! It is nice that things load quickly now instead of being bogged down like whatever was bugging our old system.

So there you go- no news is good news I guess! I am sure we will have news sooner than later though with regards to our little glow bug. But right now I have nothing to tell you since I am sticking close to home and trying to take it easy. And seeing how this is probably our last baby free weekend, I'm off to go enjoy myself!

I hope you're getting to soak up the sunshine where ever you are too!

I can't wait to see little Chloe! If you're dilating and effacing I wouldn't worry about being induced. I'm not going to ask if you are, just in case you'd rather not share such details.
I just noticed your Robert Burns poem on the sidebar. There's a Robert Burns poem called "Sweet Afton" that is also a blugrass song. Isn't that a funny coincidence?
Good luck with everything! I've been wondering if your silence was b/c the baby came. Enjoy that new laptop! You should find out if your hopital has internet access. Ours did, but we didn't have a laptop. It would have been some nice entertainment when we were counting the seconds to be discharged.

Hey, Lexi-Texi.

I got Pitocin with Kennedy and with Marin and had no horror story. [Well, I do have something of a horror story with Marin's birth, but it had nothing to do with the Pit.] Don't sweat it. By the time I neared the end of each pregnancy, I got to the point where I didn't care how the baby got out--as long as he/she got out. And pronto. Keep us posted!!

I have been induced all three times (though the nurse says I was already in labor with Ethan and didn't know it) Brennan was a week late so the others were induced on due dates.
I had pitcoin and no problems at all.
Good luck deciding. They can always stripe your mebranes but that does not always help, either.

Being induced isn't all that bad. I had a good experience with Emily and am not scared if I have to be induced again. Rest Up.... We'll be watching the blog for updates and TONS OF PICTURES!!!! Good luck!!
