Then on Friday, Troy's brother Jason and his wife Naoko flew in from Japan and stayed with us until Wednesday of this week so they could get stuff together to move near the Dallas area where Jason will be working. Jason was recovering from a cold and Naoko was hit with flu while here having symptoms of a headache, fever and sore throat. They bought our old car from us but it needed a few repairs so we took it to the shop on Saturday and it was supposed to be done Monday. Then Monday turned into Wednesday and finally Jason and Naoko were able to drive home to their new place. Come Sunday, Peyton had pink eye in both eyes, I was feeling tired and Chloe was recovering from having another bout of shots (one of which was a flu vaccine which I think gave her a cold).
Then Troy had a doozy of a week at work so he came home later than normal a few nights and had to leave yesterday at 5:45 a.m. to go to Houston- did I mention that he didn't sleep at all the night before because he stayed up to do billing? Oh, and I caught whatever Naoko had. Two full days of fever ranging between a low grade 99 on up to 102 degrees. A wicked sore throat (now going on three days), body aches, chills, waking up with the bed soaked in sweat and shivering away.
Coughing, stuffy nose, hoarse voice... you name it. Troy hasn't been able to help because he's busy himself. Yesterday his flight home from Houston got canceled because of snow so he didn't get home until 9:15 last night and that was only because he drove back in a rental car instead of waiting standby at the airport any longer (his flight was around 3:00 in the afternoon and even by 9:00 p.m. there was no guarentee for a spot for him) so I've been trying to drag myself about taking care of two little ones who don't get that Mama is sick and can't do it all.
One more thing- we had several contracters come out to the house to fix minor things around the house so I had to put on my well face and keep myself composed while they did their stuff around the house. I wanted Troy to reschedule them to come but there was no time to do that so I just did the best I could.
I think in the future I am putting a moratorium on sick people staying here! It is just too scary with Chloe being as little as she is to catch something like this. So if you show up here to stay and you have a bug, I hope you won't be offended when I ask if you'll consider other arrangements until you feel better!
Oh, and you'd think that since it's Saturday that Troy would be home to help but he has to be at an auction for one of his clients at work and it's all the way out in Fort Worth so he probably won't be home until 1:00 or 2:00. I really hope he comes home soon- I need some relief!
*Sigh*
Thank goodness for children's programming on TV, canned soup and good books!
I'll be camped out on the couch if you need to find me. I'm the one in the pink robe and slippers huddled into the cushions coughing and wincing with pain everytime I swallow. :-0

Here's to hoping you are healthy and well at least!

OH, Lexi, being sick and alone with kids STINKS! Hugs and I hope Sunday dawns bright, congestion free, and Troy-ful! Love you and sending you hugs (though if I were near you, I'd keep my distance. :-)
Chloe is so dang cute! I'm sorry things have been crappy around your house lately. Hope everyone gets feeling better soon in time for some Christmas fun.
