Baby Love

She was the first baby born at the Presbyterian Hospital of Rockwall in the month of June. At 3 a.m., she arrived with a head full of dark hair, precious little lips and a dainty frame. We were instantly smitten with her!

Troy took no time at all to become enraptured with this little girl. I will often find him gazing at her and talking to her- a Father's love is so sweet to witness!
We have been trying to get back into the routine of life, but for now this sweet little face rules the roost!
Sitting pretty- a little lady in the making.
We can't get over how tiny she is!
And of course, there has been a lot of this going on! Luckily she lets us get some too at night- we get two wake up calls for feedings at night but that's not too bad considering she's a newborn!

Such peaceful slumber- she is such a joy to watch while resting!

I am doing great as well- I was back on my feet much faster this go around and I am experiencing less depression as well. I had sever post partum depression when Peyton arrived and I don't think I am nearly as out of it this time. With Chloe, I have just the typical baby blues- I get weepy when I think of Troy leaving to go to work, but other than that I am doing alright.

I only gained 23 lbs this pregnancy and have shed quite a bit of that already since Monday. I have only 9 lbs to go before I am back to my pre-pregnancy weight! So overall, this experience has been a lot better. I will admit that I am feeling pretty overwhelmed with having two to manage now.

How do you go grocery shopping or get out of the house?! It wouldn't be so bad if Peyton listened and stuck close but if I'm going one direction, he's going the other direction. If I try to hold his hand, he goes limp and falls to the floor which means I have to football clutch him when I need him to go somewhere. Also the terrible two's have escalated astronomically this past week and Peyton is testing my every nerve. Any advice, you Mom's of two or more? I could certainly use it!

Well, that's all for now-I will probably be posting pretty sporadically until I get into a good routine over here. Keep checking back in though and if you'd like to visit, please do! We'd love some company. ;-)
