A Place to Rest Her Sweet Head

I am starting to get into panic mode about Chloe's nursery. For some reason, every time I look at bedding I just can't commit to anything I see. Plus, my usual go-to source for baby bedding; Pottery Barn Kids, has been lacking in the cuteness factor for a while. I'm wanting something vibrant and pretty, but not overly froufrou and frilly.

I kept envisioning dainty pinks with spring greens or cherry reds with sky blues but I came up empty handed in my search. I am liking this however {click to see bigger}:

It isn't vibrant like I had imagined, but it is precious and just the right amount of girly without being too gaudy and overdone. I can't decide if I'd pair it with a mobile like this:

Or perhaps a wall decal like this: {you can choose two colors for this one!}

Or maybe this one instead as a nice vignette over the crib:

And maybe a nice floor rug, not necessarily this one, but something that ties all of the chocolate and pink together.

And what about saving the ultra girly froufrouness for a chandelier?

And a white, tie up curtain at the window to let the rays of sunlight peep through...

What do you think?

I like the white tie-up curtain a lot. We have a tie up in Brant's room, but on my to-do list for this week is to buy a black out shade for underneath to keep the sunlight out while he's sleeping. We have a shade like that in laurel's room and it also helps to keep the heat out in the summer.
All of your other choices are beautiful, but in my opinion the chandelier is too much (especially with the minimalistic mobile.) A real designer might say I don't know what I'm talking about, though :)

My friend did a chandelier in her girl's room, and I loved it! I always said I would do one in Shelby's room when she got a bit older and got past the phase of wanting to touch every single crystal like she does with the chandelier at her Papaw's house. I think it is adorable as long as you don't overdo everything else.

I love the chocolate and pink, and I think it's something you could use in the room for a very long time.

I love the bedding! I don't know about the chandelier, but I love the decals and the mobile! We'll have a similar theme, but mine is a more cutesy version of birds, owls and butterflies. It's the Brooke Nursery bedding from Pottery Barn Kids. If you look up the girls bedding instead of the baby girls you'll get a better view. I even got the owl pillows!! Aren't you excited to decorate?! Although you have a whole house to do, don't you? I just washed the car seat, stroller, swing, boppy pillow and cover, and we finally cleared out the room. Let the mother bird nesting begin!

I like the bird decal...if you don't see something you love, maybe you could consider having something custom made to match what you want.

The pink and chocolate look great together. With pinks you can always use different shades as accents. It will look great what ever you do! :)

Thanks for the link! I love the owls. Have you seen the butterfly chandelier that Pottery Barn has? I'm actually making my own right now. I know what you mean with less choice from PBK. I had a gut feeling that we might get the same bedding, because I know we share the love of PBK. Do not fret, the bedding you chose is awesome, and you'll be able to find anything your heart desires to match it b/c pink/brown AND birds seem to be popular right now. Have you seen Target's new line "Dwell Studio"? Good stuff! We just have a couple of things to fix in our room before I can get serious with the decor. Girls are so much fun already!

I love all of it, too. I have been craving a girly chandelier and have been tempted to put one up in Kailey's room. I know Joel would not allow it anywhere else in the room.

Amen on the PBK drought. When I had Kailey I could hardly decide there were so many cute options. I was counting on them for Eli's bedding and was disappointed. I ended up going with something that I found online, and that I later found that babies r us had.
