I love them both too!!! If it were going into Emily's (already decorated room) I would have to choose the first. But if I were just starting out with a brand new slate- I would chose the 2nd. Very classic and modern at the same time.
The second one is a color scheme you could keep in her room for years, but I have to say, I'm nuts over all things pink and frilly for little girls so I'd have to go with the first one. Good luck choosing!
Oh my heavens, I love them both and for different reasons. I love the cheery colors in the top one, because I just love color...but I love the classiness of the second one. Seriously, I'm no help. I don't think you can go wrong either way!
Well, the consensus seems to be number 2 - I like them both as well. I absolutely love the scalloped edge on #2 - but they are both darling. I like the vibrant, but still precious, baby colors of #1 as well. Which will go with your new home better . . . and grow with baby better? I can't say!

What I'm Reading
A Dance with Dragons by George R. R. Martin
Sleeping in the Forest
I thought the earth remembered me, she took me back so tenderly, arranging her dark skirts, her pockets full of lichens and seeds.
I slept as never before, a stone on the river bed, nothing between me and the white fire of the stars but my thoughts, and they floated light as moths among the branches of the perfect trees.
All night I heard the small kingdoms breathing around me, the insects, and the birds who do their work in the darkness.
All night, I rose and fell, as if in water, grappling with a luminous doom. By morning I had vanished at least a dozen times into something better.

If it were me, I would choose #2. I am a big fan of brown and pink AND I am in love with the bird/tree branch look that is so popular right now.

Picture #2 for sure.
I like #2 as well!
