She is MY hero.

When I think times are hard, when I feel tired or melancholy after a long day or when I find myself complaining about the little things... I remember Nie and what she is going through. Suddenly, the little trials I am going through seem insignifigant and I try a little harder to smile a little more. I stop and appreciate the azure skies, the singing birds, the trees nodding in the wind and the flowers blooming.

Yes, as mothers of little ones we get tired and many days seem the same over and over again, one day right after another. But there are times when you know that the moment that you are living right now is going to be a forever memory. This moment right here, right now is something you'll look back on, laugh at, cherish and remember when the times really are hard.

When I change my perspective and decide to live differently and more positively, I can feel the good in my life. Here is what I am learning:

Enjoy the little things.

Don't cry over spilt milk (or macaroni and cheese).

Find the good in everyday and everyone.

Be thankful for the blessings you have.

Hug and kiss the ones you love as often as you can.

Don't hold grudges.

Pray when times are hard.

Pray when times are good.

When times are hard, when you're sad, when you feel lonely, when you feel like you can't take it for one more minute, pray for comfort; for support, for help. God is listening.

Don't forget: nothing lasts forever.
