Thanks for the good laugh this morning Uncle Bruce!
Pour yer'self a bowl of Lucky Charms this mornin' 'cause it's a Happy Saint Patrick's Day!
I hope you remembered to wear green today so ye don't get pinched by the leprechauns!
We are all set at our house to have a big Irish feast this evening. We'll all be wearing green {of course!} and will start out our dinner right with a big bowl of hearty Irish Lamb Stew accompanied by homemade Irish Soda Bread fresh out of the oven.
No beer for us tonight, but you can find us drinking cold sarsaparilla in green bottles as we wash down the dregs of our stew. We'll finish out the evening with Irish Bananas {which is like Bananas Foster except instead of using rum to make the sauce, you use Bailey's Irish Cream- and the alcohol cooks off, so no worries for little Chloe!} and all the while we'll be listening to Irish tunes from The Chieftans.
What's in the works for you and yours?
♣ Now go and play patty fingers with the one that you love best; bonus points if they happen to be Irish! :-) ♣

Little E, Jack and I just got back from a mom's group SPD party. It was a lot of fun...almost everyone had on green (of course!) and I brought GREEN lemon meringue pie. The hostess had a scavenger hunt where each clue brought another prize! The hunt ended under the rainbow (imaginary) where there was a black pot full of GOLD (coins in gift bags that is) and charms.
Oh, and the boys DID eat Lucky Charms, but that is not unusual for them.
Your dinner sounds delicious. If only we could email food (not just recipes) to each other...
That sounded like a lot of fun! Green lemon meringue pie, huh? I bet it was tasty! You're welcome over for dinner any time but you'll have to pay the air fare ;-)
