Troy loves the spray painted number on the side. He thinks we should keep that permanently instead of having a plate on the house with our address on it. :-)
We snuck in when there weren't any workers around through the garage to see what was going on in the inside. It was really cool to see the actual layout of all of the rooms. I only saw the downstairs since Peyton was in the truck {it was f-r-e-e-z-i-n-g that day} but Troy said that after I went back to the truck that he got a sneak peek of the upstairs too.
Here's our living room with our gas fireplace! Initially, the blueprints called for the fireplace to be flat against the other wall with a built in nook for your entertainment center and then there were three windows looking out onto the backyard.
We didn't like the way that the nook for your entertainment unit was off center and the way that you were restricted with the size of your TV & console since they gave you a preset nook, so we told them to put the fireplace at a diagonal on the side thereby taking out one window and eliminating the nook altogether so that we have a nice flat wall to put our entertainment center where we choose {and in whatever size we choose}. I think it will turn out nice!
This is from this last weekend! We actually went two days in a row- Friday and Saturday. This picture is from Friday when they were still working on putting up the brick and the stone face. By the time we came back the next day, they had finished ALL of the brick and stone and were building our mailbox {they enclose a regular mailbox with bricks- not my favorite setup, but that's ok!}.
Everything is moving along!

You are going to be in your new home before you know it. When we moved here I did not want a fireplace (jack is a klutz), but now I want one to hang garland on and put pictures above. Next time...
WOW!! Amazing how quickly your house is going up. That's awesome, it looks fantastic! And Peyton's birthday celebrations looked awesome too. Makes me want some sausage and french toast. :) Happy Birthday, Peyton!
