One of the first Sunday's we were here, I was making the usual introductions at church with the warning that we wouldn't be there long since we were building our home in a different area. One lady asked how long the building contractor had stated it would take for them to build our house and I confidentially answered 5 months. She laughed and said "Then it will be 10 months."
As it stands now, they will be done with nearly everything at the end of April and will have everything ironed out for our move the third week in May. We are excited!
Troy and I joke that all of our kitchen utensils and equipment could probably fit in the island of this kitchen! That is a lotta, lotta cabinet space.
Here's what the living room looks like now that it's been sheet rocked. And since you've been wondering Courtney, we did get a fireplace so we can decorate for Christmas. :0)
But... we chose that option BEFORE we knew how frickin' freezing it gets here. We will definitely be using it this next winter! It's really nice that it's a gas fireplace so we don't have to worry about storing logs and getting the fire going when the whim for one strikes us. If we want one, it's all ready to go!
Here's the master bedroom with our bay window. I love, ♥LOVE♥, love natural light and all of the windows in this house makes me as happy as a clam. There aren't many rooms that DON'T have a window so I'll be able to open up the windows whenever I'd like a bit of fresh air and get some good cross circulation going. Now if I could just have some large, leafy green trees in view of the front and back of the house, I'd be a lucky girl. Guess we'll just have to grow some up ourselves! :-)
Well, that's all for now!
P.S. Don't forget to enter the giveaway- today is the last day you can enter! See yesterday's post for details if you haven't read about it before now. Good luck!

HOLY SMOKES! That's insane. I love it and also can't wait for the day that I get to have oodles of natural light flowing in my house (as an added bonus for me, it's great for photography!). I, too, just LOVE it and couldn't possibly have enough of it in my house. I can't believe you're going to be moved in May! Wow!
You'll be surprised at how fast all those kitchen cabinets fill up. We have a huge kitchen and when we moved in and I was using maybe half of the cabinets. Now, they are all overflowing and I need more space!
girl, its soooo beautiful! we'll give you some time to settle in before we come visit ;)
our new house doesn't have a fire place so i was seriously considering buying a surround and mantle so i could pretend! i love the way they look!
I've considered buying an electric fireplace for us. I mean, I really want a cute place to decorate...
I am loving the new house. I guess next summer we might have to plan a trip to visit you before we go to LA. It might just happen...if you'll have us.
That's so exciting! It's a beautiful home. Having the sheet rock up makes it look so real. I hope they keep up with the schedule. Don't let anyone tell you different.
Lookin' sexy
